Shaheen's Adirondack Inn is committed to making our website accessible and easy to use for all persons with disabilities.

The website has been designed to be accessible for impaired users to see, navigate, interact, and understand the content provided as per the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).

Our website has been tested for its functionality with the achecker.ca tool and the Google Chrome Accessibility Audit tool. The keyboard only functionality has also been tested so that people who use screen readers or can't use a mouse are able to navigate through the website pages efficiently.

Our property does not have a reservation booking system as we do not book reservations online. Reservations are booked by calling us at 1-800-474-2445 or 1-518-359-3384, or you may email your questions or inquire about availability to [email protected] We will be happy to assist you.

Parking and Accessible Room Entrance

There are 2 designated accessible parking spaces with a shared van access aisle. Designated Accessible Parking spaces have a accessible exterior route to accessible rooms. Accessible rooms known as "Room 3 and Room 4" are located on the ground level (known as the 1st floor).

There are no elevators on the property. There is a 2nd floor level to the property which is accessed by interior stairwells.

All rooms including accessible rooms have a exterior corridor entrance.

Accessible rooms do not have automatic doors, door handles are compliant.

Accessible exterior route to the Registration Desk, exterior door is not automatic; it has an open handle.

Gazebo is accessible with an ramp route entrance.

Website accessibility


Our property has a seasonal outdoor pool opened from mid June to early September. It is enclosed by a fence and gated as required by the New York State Health Department. There is no life guard on duty. There is one slight curb to enter the pool area. The pool has a ADA compliant Pool Lift Chair. The pool has a deck area with tables with sun umbrellas; a wheelchair can roll under the tables.

Accessible Rooms

****Click on Guest Rooms, Amenities, & Rates page for Accessible Room Features. There are 2 accessible rooms; room 3 & 4 which are located on the ground level (1st floor) and are accessible from an exterior accessible route from the designated parking space.

Interior Lobby

At the Registration Desk, we commit our attentiveness to all guests who need assistance; please press lowered bell on exterior registration desk to summon us should we be away from the registration desk.

The lobby space is accessible. Guest computer desk is accessible.

Public restroom is located off the lobby area and is accessible. Restroom has a 36 inch wide doorway, compliant toilet with grab bars, tilted mirror for easier viewing, accessible sink and amenities.

Breakfast area in the lobby is accessible with tables that a wheelchair can roll under. Cold continental breakfast area (cereals, muffins, donuts, bagels, milk, juice, coffee, tea) is accessible and breakfast is self served. Please ring lowered registration desk bell for needed assistance with any service should we be away from the breakfast area or registration desk.
